93 del sol with b16a 20 tooth water pump help
so a few months ago I purchased a 93 del sol with a b16a swap there has been a lot done to it from the previous owner. Recently the water pump went out so I took it to a local shop and they pulled it and it's running a Japan paraut 20 tooth water pump. Now b16a vtecs usually run a 22 tooth I know and I have not been able to find a 20 tooth pump. It currently has low comp wiseco pistons eagle rods, and much more. The guy at the shop says a stock 22 tooth will not fit. So is that bs or do I need to somehow find another 20 tooth pump ?

The proper VTEC water pump has 22 teeth, and if you have an OE timing belt... it will fit just fine. Either your mechanic is doing something wrong or you have the wrong timing belt.
