It's just time consuming if you don't have a full empty week to just kill on the swap.
well, i'm going off to college in a month, and i plan on working throughout. since i have the incredible gift of not being a drinker, i wont have much to spend money on, and if i save my money, find a way to bring it up to my college (im going for auto mechanics) i'm sure that i can do the swap myself. as for a better del sol, yea, i could, but half of the idea behind this car is to teach me, my own little pet project. and i do still have my other car, so it isnt the end of the world, my other car just gets 20 miles to the gallon on a good day.

you wont need a full week just a week end
dont grab ***, get a buddy and its not hard at all.
tools: 10mm, 12mm,14mm,17mm,19mm, 32mm.. 7/8in wrench. air is allways nice but not neccessary. Jack, Jack stands, cherry picker; Thats it really

delagate the tasks between you and your friend. Person A does above the hood, person B does below

A: / B:
remove hood / jack up car
disconnect battery / remove wheels
unplug harness from fire / remove axle nuts
wall (driver/ passenger side) / remove ball joint and lower strut tower nuts
remove heater hose from fire wall / remove axles
remove fuel lines from fuel rail / drain coolant
remove nuts from header / remove bolt to rear trans mount
unbolt grounds from motor and tranny / disconnect header from cat
LOOSEN T breacket and mount bolts / remove lower trans mount/ ac bracket

at this point team work comes in to get it onto the cherry picker and in the air.
add coolant last and make sure everything is connected with the new motor and BAM! done. if you want fast cash, deliver pizzas and you can have that ls/b20 in no time.

craigslist FTW

As do I, it's quite great. If you're going for mechanics (which is cool btw; My rival school, University of Akron, has an actual Major devoted to working on Hondas.) I'm pretty sure you need a junker anyways, you'll have projects where you need to fix a car.

My friend drives an '88 Olds 88 Delta when he garages his Stealth. The things a straight beast haha.

Can't tell if those are MI or NY plates, if they're MI check out xceedspeed's for sale section, there's always guys selling complete swaps dirt cheap when it's time to go back to school lol

Yeah just the motor, I'm getting a B-series in winter with a custom turbo

The D16Z6 is in there now and it's my daily driver so it will have more miles on it when I sell it. It'll be done in Tampa Fl

I think you already have a D16Z6 in yours right now, just pull it and replace the internals and boost it, that's the cheapest route

buddy of mine put an early eclipse turbo on his d16z6. im guessing t3/t4? or maybe t25, im not 100 percent, i dont mess with mitsubishi....he got the injectors off it too. and used my other buddys stock srt4 intercooler after he bought a bigger one for that. and he didnt have more than 4 or 5 hundred bucks into it. it pulled pretty good, but i wouldnt boost a motor with 270k miles on it, thats just asking for trouble. but its gonna cost u to get it tuned professionally...unless u can do that yourself, but i wouldnt recommend that, its gotta be precise..

Personally I would do the body work first and a fresh paint job. Which could cost alot. What's the point of having a really fast car but its looks like a piece of crap.

B20 will fit. A good example.
