Default 93 D15B8 to 96 D15B

Ok so this may sound dumb but for the time being a B16A swap is not economical for my pocket. I am pulling a D15B from a 96 EK this week and will be putting it into my 93 Canada built CX Hatch. I would guess that the only thing really different would be obd1 to 2 as far as wiring goes??? I have seen some guys run a obd 1 harness and ecu with this swap....essentially it's the same motor! My only concern is wiring....the reason I am doing this is because the motor is FREE and my D15B8 has a badly worn wrist pin on the number 2 piston and a bent valve on the exhaust side on the number 2 cylinder. I had originally decided to run it till it blew, but I have a long communte everyday and dont want to be stranded! Any advise would be appreciated...if you dont have advice please dont comment....this is my DD and I need it running...

the Civic the motor is coming from is a 1996 D15b DX hatch non vtec which is OBD2 My 93 CX hatch has a D15b8 which is a non vtec 8 valve engine. The only difference is that the 96 motor has an obd2 ECU and O2 Sensor also it's a 16 valve head. Like I said it's free...from searching for about a week now I have found that the swap should just drop right in...like I said before the only thing is that I will not be getting the wiring harness from th 96 with the motor...I will have to transfer my harness from my 8 valve D15 to the 16 valve D15 that will be going in. I need to know what other wiring will need to be done....I have been having trouble finding any info on this...mostly because every opts to do a DOHC Swap....I have done about 15 Dohc swaps to EG's in the past but never D15B8 OBD1 to D15B OB2.....AGAIN Both Engines are non vtec...

If the '96 is an original D16Y7 engine you can either reuse your intake and exhaust manfolds and ECU from the B8 or get ones from a D15B7 or D16Z6 (preferable) and run a P06 ECU (you will need to wire in a 4 wire O2 sensor using a P06)
