93 civic dx b20 swap with audi quattro
I was talking with a guy in my auto parts store about doing a awd swap and he said he has the quattro system from an audi tt 1.8t. I want to keep my b20b and do a vtec swap and boost it. I'm going to start with 300hp. Then sleeve the block and work my way up to 500hp. I'll be doing twin disk clutch and a haltech ecu. The guy will be helping me with the swap and we will build a custom adapter plate, custom sub frames, and custom suspension .I know that I will need the audi drive train from the transmission back. My question is what specific things would I need to do that are honda specific? I'm posting the same thing on the audi world forum for the audi stuff. I KNOW this has never been done and it would need to be a complete custom set up. I DON'T GIVE ME A BUNCH OF HATE for this its my car.

The only "Honda" specific detail I can think of that you need to be aware of (and could be the sarcastic comment of turning the seat a 180), is the Honda motor spins counter clockwise, most other cars spin clockwise. Soooooo.......
With the Audi drivetrain, some wheels will be going the opposite way.
If you are using Honda Transmission and then the Audi rear differential, your front wheels are going to want to pull forward while your rear wheels are going to want to pull backwards.
If you are using an Audi transmission and rear differential, the car is going to travel in reverse except when in reverse, then it will travel forward.

If you can't bother to buy the audi FSM, read through it to see what is needed, what controls what, what can be disabled/deleted, well....

sometimes, being the "first" guy to do something isn't necessarily a good thing. these cars have been around a LONG time now, you'd better believe if there was a better/more cost effective way to convert to awd than aftermarket kits or CR-V parts, it probably would have been done by now. 1g crv's are not rare, in fact there is a 5 speed one near me that needs a clutch for $800. there is your donor.

Important lesson #1: Don't listen to the guy in the auto parts store without a high dose of scepticism. Then go home and do your research yourself. (And NOT by just asking the internet "hey can I do this?", that's lazy.)
