Default 93 b18 into a EG6

Whats goin on guys. I just sold my DA Integra today. And, Im finally picking me up a EG Hatch the car I always wanted. I'm getting the shell for $500(gonna try and negociate it down to $400 or so) and I found a whole B18A1 OBD1 swap for $400. So, my question is. How do I deal with the whole cable tranny deal. Because I believe my car comes with a hydraulic tranny. So, do I pretty much got to go find a hydraukic tranny. Because the motor mounts Im looking to buy is for hydraulic and I cant find any for a EG with a cable tranny mount.

Thanks for any help.

Finding a bolt-on trans mount to fit that tranny might not happen. 2 people I know had to "fab" the factory mount to get it to fit. As for the cable trans, if you insist on staying cable, Hasport and other companies make cable to hydro, and hydro to cable conversion adapters for honda transmissions. Look for some posts about swaps, your not the first one to do this. I would prefer to stay with hydro transmissions if you plan on changing the gears at all, just plain out more parts.

$400 isn't really a smoking deal for a 17 year old motor.

Keep looking, you'll be much happier not having to buy a conversion kit or having a crap b18.

$400 is a decent deal in my opinion. i have a cable trans in my eg. you can buy an entire kit with all of the mounts or just the transmount and the conversion equipement you need to run the cable trans. My kit is from HAsport. there are cheaper versions on ebay. around $200 for the "conversion". takes a little modification, too

you must drill through the lever on the transmission and insert the provided himes joint which attaches to your slave cylinder which is now vertically mounted by a provided bracket to the transmission housing. run on run on.... ha . you need to remove the hydro clutch line and turn it around, add the new mount attach everything, adjust and done. after filling clutch fluid up and bleeding system. hope this helps

$400 is for the motor w/auto tranny, plus a 5 speed tranny and ecu. And, nevermind about the whole cable tranny thing. I found me a hydraulic one from a buddy.

Also another question. I knoe i should knoe this from just owning an integra and selling it. But if I get a 94+ ls tanny and put it on my 93 ls motor all the splines and that stuff will all line up, and there is no extra crap to buy to make the clutch and tranny work.

its all about the clutch you use. use a clutch for the hydro transmission

they are the same dude. 92 up is the same clutch disc and pressure plate. 92-93 have different throwout bearings than the 94-ups though. so if your using a 94-up tranny , you need a 94-up throwbearing. but the discs and pressure plates are the same.
