92' Si Hatch $3000?
Ive been into hondas for about 6 years now. Ive always wanted to get a 92-95 hatch but when the time came around for me to get one i got a 900RR instead. So Im in the Air Force now need to get a car because i got nothing right now. I'm looking at a 92' hatch for sale here in FL. I love the car but there are a few bad points. first off the car is in PERFECT condition! no dents dings, got new paint about 2 years ago (red). about 3K miles ago it got a break job, including new rotors. when i drove the car, it started up perfectly had it reved all the way to 7200 at one point with no abnormal engine noise. the breaks felt like they had a new master cylinder, everything about the car felt as though it was in great shape! now the down side, it has 195K miles and the guy is asking $4000. Kelly blue book has it listed @ $2200 but the guy insists its worth more because on the Internet (auto trader) "people are selling 91 to 93 Sis for $3500 to $4000" so i was thinking about offering him $3000. I don't know what other work has been done to the engine if any at all but it does run good. Im planning on doing a swap in about 6 or 8 months but for now im stuck with the D16Z6. you guys think im going to get ripped on the car or is it worth it?

The car is worth what ever its worth to you. For the most part. 3 would be a great deal.
I got a 93 dx hb for 3gs with 94k. Yours is an SI, and sounds like it's in good condition. I'd say you aim for 3500, but try to get 3g's. 4 sounds a little high for the mileage...plus it's red...
Just depends on how bad you (and others) want it. Supply and demand. The supply is always limited, and the demand is always there.
Just my 2 cents.

From everythign I've seen over the last coupel of years 3500-4500 is the going rate for a 92-95 Si in good shape.
I'd say 3k is a pretty good deal.

You've got to be kidding me. 3k for a 92 hatch? I think that's a little tooo expensive, especially with the mileage. Here in Canada the 92 hatches are about the same price, CDN dollars.

your situation sounds just like mine but with a few different things such as:
captiva blue
perfect condition mint interior and exterior
this was about 3hr drive (to atlanta from birmingham)
the motor had 256k miles on the engine: new timing belt water pump, all reciepts from first owner and second owner (difference really was the first owner had it to 256k already, the dude that sold it to me decided to sell it to keep his EF si hatch..the first owner was a dude that it drove like frickin 100 miles round trip to work eryday for 12 years ....but i was still sketched about the miles
he was asking 5400 at first and i said all i had was 3000. but like a week later he called and said if i came and picked it up the next day he would for 3000 (when i did he actually said here ill give it to you for 2900...real nice guy but i was still sketched bout the miles)
now it has 273k miles and i havent had to do anything but oil and gas!!
but its almost new clutch time, and i had a wreck so but me and chase (EF8kid on HT) swapped GSR front brakes
well i say go for it

Well I'm a super cheap bastard, but I got a PERFECTLY clean 93 dx hatch w/141k on body, 80k on a replaced b7 motor. I paid 3150 for it. It seems like a ton but there's absolutely nothing wrong with it, I sold some stuff off of it (rims, sound equip. etc.) and it's one of the few times I've never felt as if I got a bad deal. I'd say if it's clean and 5sp, go for it.

Not for an Si. As long as it still has all the factory options. I just got mine and I've had $5500 offered on it, and it's got 162k, but it's in mint condition (just got painted) and some mods.
