92 SI AC parts question
I have a 92 SI HB and the engine has been swapped a few times. It now has a d15b8, but it still has the wiring and plumbing for AC. With 96 degrees yesterday, I need to know what AC parts I need to get. All info will help. THanks.

Re: 92 SI AC parts question (Darkhour Racing)
This should help: http://www.hondaautomotivepart....html
But because yours is a '92, you will need an R12 system. If you need to pass inpsections, it's not hard to convert to R134a later on.

Re: 92 SI AC parts question (Darkhour Racing)
have you had those lines sealed while the a/c hasnt been working?? you better at least blow them out if they've just been sitting there open to the air...
honda changed a/c compressors in mid 93 from the r12 type to the r134a type. I have the old r12 compressor (made only two years 92-93) damn hard to find. the lines going into it are different size than the ones going into the r134a compressor (late 93-00 all d-series civics).
you will at the minimum need the lines going from the r134a compressor as well as the r134a compressor itself...unless you want to continue using r12 which will cost you $$$$.
there's a guy on d-series.org that has the entire a/c setup from a 95 for sale for relatively cheap. might want to check into that.
