92 hatch with auto swap and h22a install
i just bought a 92 hatch to put my 94 built h22a into. the car is an auto and im switching to a manual. what i need to no is can i just get the hasport mount kit or will i also need the special trans mount cuz the auto bracket is diff. than the manual one on the chassis. i can find these mounts for the b and d swap but no info on the h swap. as for hasport their kit says it fits all model civics with h22a being put in. please can anyone help

The last word I got on it (this is very old info, dates back to around '03) was that you had to cut off the automatic pocket mount welded to the frame rail and weld on the manual version in order to use an aftermarket H-series mount kit.

ok thats what i heard to but i was just wondering cuz i see all these auto to manual mounts for the trans but they all say for the b and d series and couldnt find one for the h series. i also heard that its cheaper to do it that way if you can weld which i can.

The Hasport kit will take care of the mount situation for you, since you will be removing the mount bracket to use the kit. Regularly, automatic and manual '92-'95 Civic have the transmission side mount bracket (part spot welded to the frame) in slightly different positions. I believe the automatic one has the bracket an inch or 2 closer to the firewall than the manual one, or the opposite. But like I said, the Hasport kit replaces that bracket entirely so it won't be an issue.
Edit : If you use any other mount kit for the H22A swap, you might have to do what 94EG8 says. I know HCP doesn't remove the bracket, and just requires you to cut the bracket and drill out a hole bigger. So in that case , you would have to cut the spot welds that hold the bracket on, and weld a new one on in the correct place.
