90,000-100,000 Kilometers if I recall correctly.

If you get oil on it, much much less.

Or look for dry rot/cracking if it is getting really old...

From the service manual: Replace at 90,000 miles or 144,000km
Don't risk not doing it if you're not sure. At minimum have a look at it to check its condition. A snapped timing belt USUALLY means a toasted motor.

The replacement of one is remarkably straightforward.
