Icon2 92' Civic Si Hatchback - DASHLIGHT PROBLEM!

So, I went out to go for a cruise in my 1992 Honda Civic Si Hatchback, D16Z6 I believe? Anyways, it is the stock motor! I started the car with no problems, proceeded to turn on my headlights (8000K HID's brand new) and they turned on. Turned up my dimmer switch and the dash lights wouldn't come on (speedometer, tachometer, fuel and temperature gauge). I'm quite sure everything else worked such as the; taillights, interior overhead light, cruise control/rear defog switch lights etc. Everything but my gauges. I don't know what's wrong with it or what to do? Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, my car has a lot of condensation inside the car on a cold morning, does anyone know anything about that either? Thanks.

I'd say dimmer is probably the issue lol smack it a few times.........but also check your fuses and HID lights in housings made for reflective bulbs will scatter your light......search on how to alter your housings so your light is focused

Do the heater control panel lights brighten and dim when you dial the dimmer switch? If so, you may have blown bulbs in the cluster or a bad Red wire or Red/Blk wire to cluster.

Hey guys, yeah, I went out to double check again tonight and it turns out nothing that involves the dimmer switch works. Let me know what to do, thanks.

If the taillights work, then pry the dimmer switch out of the dash and jump the red wire to the black wire in the switch connector. Do the dash lights now work?

The tail lights do work, I will try that tomorrow and let you know how it goes! Also JDUBBS, what did you mean about the HIDs focusing or something? This it my first car and I am very new to this stuff, all instructions and help is greatly appreciated! I will keep yous posted, thank you very much. Also one question in my 1992 Honda Civic Si Hatchback what size are the speakers in the front and rear? I am going to buy some aftermarket ones but what size do I get? Thanks guys!

Does your car turn on? Have you check your grounds for at the thermostat, transmission and valve cover?
