Default 92 Civic question.

I have a 92 SI HB (Canadian) and it came with no airbag, I was wondering if the US model came with one. Cause the weight thats listed everywhere on the web is 2326lbs for the 92 and 93, and I know in Canada the 93 had an airbag so it must weight more.
One of these days I'll weight my car just to see what the real weight is, thanks.

If I can remember right the 92 us model has only the drivers side.
But the 94 and up has both, I have the cx hatch and it has both.
i'm not sure on the 93 models though.

The 92-93 Civics only came with a driver's side airbag while the 94-95's had dual airbags.

So its different for the US models then cause I have a 92 canadian model with no airbags, I wonder what the weight difference is?

cool, so my civic is lighter than 2326lbs that the us model weighs. Anyone know how much the (single)SRS systems weighs??

I always wondered what the point of airbags were. I totalled my integra 3 times, twice in front, and the third time was front and back at the same time. I totalled my civic one time. In all accidents, my airbags have never ever gone off. I have a 92 CX with drivers side airbag only.

If you're not dead, you didn't need your airbag. The airbag really should only deploy if it's a very severe frontal impact. Contrary to what most people think, it's not a fluffy pillow that comes out of your steering wheel. It's more like a bomb exploding in your face.
