Does your lights dim when you hit the brake pedal? Could be an electrical ground issue. The othe thought is a vacuum leak.
If there is any sort of vacuum leak in your brake booster then unmetered air could be entering the intake manifold when you apply the brake. Try removing the hose between the booster and the manifold and capping off the manifold fitting, then apply the brake. If you still have the stalling problem then it is probably not vacuum related.
