92 civic d15 bleeding problem for the clutch

Default 92 civic d15 bleeding problem for the clutch

alright i have checked other treads but none seem to help much maybe im retarded. i was driving one day and it was hard to get into first and second so went i got home and went to leave again it wouldnt go in to gear at all i check the resorvior (sp) and it was empty so i waited till a friend could come over and help me bleed it wel it wouldnt pump up and he said it was the master cylinder so i bought one from autozone and installed it now i have been messing with it for like 3 days now and bleeding for a while the system would have pressure and shoot out far from the slave but the clutch pedal still wont stiffen up need help asap im bumming rides like i was 15 again thanks for who ever helps out and yes i did bench bleed from the master

Explain how you are going about the bleeding process a bit better.

Hopefully you aren't shooting brake fluid all over the place.

no i have a pan that i am catching it in. i am bleeding in theses steps.
one... pump pedal 5-10 times hold down pedal
two ... open bleeder on slave close bleeder
repeat.
am i doing something wrong? is there just alot of air in the line some where?

so did you change your master and slave cylinders?
to bleed it, one guy pump pump pump, hold it, the other guys loosens the bleed nipple on the slave cylinder and tightens it immediately, guy sinde uses hand to pull up clutch pedal, repeat

i've been doing that but the pedal wont pump up. should i just keep going and see what it does. i mean we were bleeding for a good 10-15 minutes

just fill it up open the bleeder push up and done 5 times hold down fill up do it again 4 time hold down close the bleeder fill it up and just keep pumping the cluch for a long time
