92 a/c system into 95 (questions)
Found a 92 donor car for my 95 EX. Donor has a/c, mine doesn't. Pull a/c out of 92 and put into my 95. Couple of problems.
1. The a/c wiring harness from the 92 does not plug into the existing plug in the engine bay. I pulled the pins from the 92 engine harness plug and replaced the 95 engine harness plug with that one. I swapped wire for wire in the exact location. Does anyone know of any problems this might cause?
2. The plug for the under dash condenser...on the 92, only has 2 wires...95 has 3 wires. Again i pulled the plug ends and swapped them so the 2 wire plug was on the 95. Blue and Yellow are on the 92, while Blue, Yellow, and Black are on the 95. Used only the Blue and the Yellow wires on the 95....the black wire goes to nothing. Can anyone tell me if i should do something different?
3. The a/c bracket...are they different on the 92 than on the 95? Could the bolt holes acutally be larger on the 92 to mount the compressor, or are the holes in the 95 just all gummed up with 7 years of road grime? Worst case scenario would be me just swapping out the a/c brackets (PITA, but do-able).
All info and help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
JesseR

Re: 92 a/c system into 95 (JesseR)
for anyone who might search this, everthing works great.
Only thing I had to do was swap the compressor mounting brackets...I think the one on the '95 just had a lot of road grime in it.
Other than that, all the wire swapping worked out good.
