Default 92-95 civic yonaka catback exhaust review!

just received my yonaka catback for 92-95 civic hatch today
theres are alot of things that i dont like about it and ill show the pictures along with it
this is my first catback with steel not like aluminized pipe at the muffler shop so i may not know how quality is or isnt so help me out

website i got it from
http://www.tunersports.com/yonaka-ca...ust_mp499.html
249 shipped took a week to get here

inside the tip where muffler comes out there was a piece of metal hanging on it when they cut it and its not even a smooth area pretty sharp

the flanges they used are dirty with black carbon on it and rust
the pipe itself on the inside is not smooth has weld spots and rust

and on the muffler they just welded two pieces together and with two hangers next to each other????????????
on one forum for an integra its one nice piece mandrel bending

so far quality to me is not so great
my friends ebay n1 replica catback for $100 is much cleaner and better in quality

so is this product bull?the shine is great but for the quality i dont like it

well see how it sounds like when i put it on right now
take about an hr i hope lol

i want to know everybodys experience, opinions, ANYTHING with this catback
or any pictures of what your yonaka catback looks like

Where are the pics? Maybe you should have wait to review it until you actually installed it.

OMG. You're griping about the INSIDE of a muffler? If you're that unimpressed and disappointed then send it back.

It is a cheap system, the rust inside might be surface rust, I understand what you are saying though.

This is a tough call, for 249 don't expect the world, I hate to say it.

can you take pics of the whole system, you do not think it is a fake do you? Did the box have have Yonaka on it?

ok so i got the stock catback off
if anybody wants to know how to take it off

just jack up the car both sides and put on 4 jack stands
(if u got a shop then void this)

take off three bolts behind the cat converter
and two bolts where the axleback muffler and mid pipe (next to the passenger rear tire)
then start removing the bushings two where u took off the mid pipe behind the cat
one where u unbolt the axleback and two near the end of the bumper of the axleback

hope it helps

everything looks great

the only concern i got is the hangers
on the stock its on the end of the midpipe
and on the yonaka at the axle back pipe

well see how it fits

im gonna go install it now

I just got a Yonaka a week ago for my build from a vendor off of here. Mine def looks better quality around the piping going into muffler and is a two bolt flange from the cat back.

ok so heres the install of the catback on the car
the tip is huge over 4in and it sticks out bout 3in out
the muffler is slightly off to the right but ill fix that later(bend the metal a bit)
overall looks nice

heres a video too

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAEFL1-kPDM
sound is kinda bad so bear with it

i did took it out to the street
sorry i couldnt bring the cam cuz sd card was being uploaded on youtube
OMG! damn the sound is the best ive heard its quiet inside the car
i took it up to 3krpm and its not loud at all
we went to a open nice area so we could test the car doing a drive by
damn wow that is the best sound i heard and its quiet

ill try to get videos inside the car and drive by

So overall its a 8 out of 10

because of the way it came to me rust and carbon
but the performance i think its worth the money

thanks
any comments appreciated

Kinda reminds me of my magnaflow.

When you cruise how is the drone in the car?

Also sticks out a bit, I hope it is not too close to the bumper, sometimes when idling with exhausts the tip will shake off the bumper.

sorry i meant the sound
if its on stock motor you wont gain anything

the reason i bought because its for my fully built single cam turbo
just wanted to put it on and see if its fits

not done yet

might get a better intake manifold and throttle body if its helps the air flow better
might upgrade turbo and manifold too
need to weld donwpipe
bigger spark plug wires
ex tranny and lsd

i like the tip but its too big and kinda stick out
im looking online and saw some nice tip
im gonna cut it and weld on a smaller tip like 3in or 3.5in and pull the tip back so it snugs right under the bumper

Yep, was like that stock too. I have two nuts and bolts with springs as I have always seen on honda's exhaust joints. My tri-y header is like that as well.

I have heard nothing but good things about the sound, so I look forward to finishing my swap and hearing it for myself.

u sure thats not from the header to cat/test pipe?
because thats where i got mine with the bolts, nut and springs
some people take off the cat/test pipe and put a straight all the way
but i like it with a test pipe

LOL it was just a suggestion to keep you safe from thieves etc. Its a common practice when posting pictures of your car online, not a threat.
