92-95 civic si - Exhaust questions
I have a 93 si, and i'm swapping the jdm b16a2 in it soon. In your guys' experiences and opinions, what are the quietest exhausts that are catback?
Also, lets say the swap comes with the stock header, will I have any fitment issues if lets say I get a apexi ws2, or something like? Will I need to purchase another cat? or are these exhausts gonna fit the car without modifications to the header/catalytic converter?
I was thinking about getting an ES oval/vibrant 2.25 muffler, and having a shop do custom 2.25 piping from the catback. Do you think this will be quiet or loud?
thanks in advance!!

just get a apexi world sport 2, or the noir exhaust they will be quiet and will fit perfect. yes the oem mani will bolt right up to you cat. i have a jdm b16a in a 94 si, i have a dc 4-1 header (99-00 si) a resonator pipe(hi flow cat as they call it. 25 bucks on ebay) and an apexi n1. but i wouldnt suggest the n1 if you want quiet. but i ran the stock exhaust for a while after my swap. it will all work. enjoy your new motor.

Re: 92-95 civic si - Exhaust questions (JSPECSIR)
thanks man, good to know
I had the n1 in my old hatch with an LS, with pretty much the same way you had it and yeah it was loud. Does anyone know how to make the n1 more quiet? like maybe had the stock cat on it? will 4-2-1, or 4-1 header make a difference in sound?

i have a custom 3" catback on my civic, d16z6
i didnt put this exhaust on, it came with the car.
but basically its a 4-2-1 header, stock cat, 3" piping with 24" resonator and a straight through muffler (little to no baffling)
its very quiet, but only because of the resonator.
adding a resonator (a fairly large one) should help ALOT.
i have also heard very good things about the es oval or vibrant es oval style mufflers.
pair those with a nice resonator 18- 24" and i think it should be very very quiet, but a nice tone

3" piping? I hope your boosted or your losing a lot of power.
