92-95 civic coupe/hatch???
Ok guys, im not in any rush to get this car, but i just want some opinions. I really would like a 92-95 hatch, but they're so hard to find.
My question is, should i wait to find a hatch, or just get a 93*-95 coupe? I like the coupes, but im not totally sure if i want to get one over a hatch. Another option is to wait even longer to find a cheap 96-00 civic hatch/coupe.
I guess i could have posted this in GDD, but i thought i could get better input for the civic people. I also know the decision is up to me, but i just want some opinions. I dont think there are any major advantages/disadvantages between the coupe and hatch besides preference.
Any help is appreciated.

Yea, i guess that could be another reason. Id be a litter more different going with a coupe.

If you want any particular car, it's not a good idea to settle for anything else. There are plenty of hatches available and in time the right one at the right price will become available.

I say find an ek in your price range I'm glad I did. But it dosn't really matter what you get. Once you start puting time and money into a car you will fall in love with it. Also every car you mentioned has a whole lot of potential to be a sweet car.

It also gives you something to sell later on and make some money on if you buy one cheap enough.
I buy ussed Honda's all the time and fix them just to sell them again right away. Beats working at a 9-5 job all day long

depends on the model. my 4 door is lighter than most hatches/coupes.

Yeah, 4 doors and coupes are not much heavier than hatches. But hatchback versatility is fun, and they look good. But coupes and 4 doors (EG, not fond of EK 4 door) looks good too...just get what you want to get.

First of all 92-95 coupes are EJ's, no EG's. Second of all the 5th gen Civic was only manufactured as a coupe from 93-95. The coupe only weighs about 40 lbs. more than the hatch. Make up your own mind and don't search for a 92 coupe because you won't find one.

Yea i read that before...but for some reason i didnt think of it.
Anyways, i know its my own choice, but im just looking for other peoples thoughts.
I still dont know which, im gonna wait a couple weeks and see how often hatches show up and make my decision then.

Re: 92-95 civic coupe/hatch??? (Future.)
There are a shitload of ugly *** coupes in my area (South Alabama). I've always thought the HB's are pretty sexy. I have a turbo 95 4dr which I think looks way better than the coupe but I also bought a 95 HB a few months ago. The cars seem totally different to drive. The 4dr feels sloppy and heavy but the HB handles like a race car. Even before I put the Koni AGX's and lowering springs on it but more so now. I prefer driving the slower HB unless I'm late for work and have to pass 6 cars at a time on the 15 mile stretch of 2 lane highway on my way to the interstate. When I get around to swapping the turbo crap off my 4dr I will have the perfect car in my opinion. The 92-95 HB is pretty rare in my area.
