i'm not quite sure if they are the same, since when purchasing hoods they usually specify if its for a 2/3dr or 4dr body type..can anyone else comment on this??

my aunt's hood on her 95 sedan had a huge dent from a fender bender. i bought and took off a hood of a rhd EG6 and put on her car with ease and no fitment issues. so, to answer your question my statement is true.
