91 CRX.. what should I do with it?
I've got a 1991 CRX DX, D15B7 automatic, bone stock. Currently it has a smoking problem, most likely the valve guides are leaking..
It has 212,000 miles or so on it, and it's just taking up space in my front yard. I've put it up for sale for $600, but nobody has come after it.
There's a guy locally that has a D16Z6 for $250..
I'm not really interested in building it since I already have my EJ build, but I figure I'm going to have to do something to it to get somebody to buy it for a regular driver. I can't believe nobody is buying it as cheap as it is. -shrug-
Here's the ad with pics.
Is $600 not a fair price? I'm at a loss here.

first off those pics suck. does it have rust. if not id buy it as a daily driver, till the engine dies (i prolly beat it to hell) then swap a boosted d16z6 in it. but first id post this in the right forum. but i dont think $600 is bad.

Woops, I had thought I did jump over to the CRX forum... My bad.
I figured anyone with the ability to handle a motor swap wouldn't have a problem doing an auto-to-manual conversion. -shrug-
I guess I'm gonna have to put a D16Z6 in it then. That'll be fun.

yea, thats what i would do. nice and cheap lol. swap a 5-speed obviously. maybe something from a d16y8 cause the z6 trans have weak shift forks.

I think I'm gonna start first with pulling the intake manifold back off and inspecting it to make sure coolant isn't getting in the intake that way.
It idles with relatively little smoke, then you stomp on the gas and it just bellows white smoke. I know it's not headgasket... bleh.. heh... Damn I wish I hadn't bought this car. Sucks that I don't need it.

It billowed -WHITE- smoke?
I would expect black and blue smoke, but not white.
