6th Gen Heatshield on downpipe
I've got a 6th gen civic (1999) SE which has the cat upfront before the downpipe. The downpipe has a heatshield on it that rattles since it's loose but won't fall off. I know on my 5th gen civic the downpipe didn't have a heatshield.
Can I just remove the heatshield and not worry about the heat burning up the oilpan gasket?
