4WS Del Sol?
I was watching a video in automotive class the other day and it had a vehicle in it that had four wheel steering. I swear I think it was a Honda Del Sol, but ive never heard of one having the 4 wheel steering option. Was there a Del Sol produced that had this feature? Thanks

no honda never made a awd del sol or a rwd. I have seen these both not with my two eyes. But I know for a fact people can mod it to a rwd, but i believe of hearing of a awd. With money you can turn anything into a awd or rwd

Nope, no 4WS Beats. That was the first thing I checked on when I read this thread.

yes it sure is, that is a great example of 4-wheel steering. By the way, this video has some age on it, possably created around the time the Del Sol was being manufactured and introduced to the public.

Yes, the 3rd gen and 4th gen Preludes offered 4WS. The rear wheels don't turn as much as the fronts, but it did help a little (some of the best handling cars of their time). The 3rd gen's 4WS was mechanical and the 4th gen's was electronic.

Re: (solbrothers)
Well the 4WS Prelude actually had moving knuckles in the rear with a u/lca and a radius arm. The civics, which include all Del Slos, always had a trailing arm w/ u/lca's. The spindle would change toe angles slightly depending on suspension angle, in somewhat the same way a normal suspension addes camber as it droops.
Its possible that there was a prototype with 4WS, but highly unlikely. They'd have to cut out and completely redo the shock towers/placement, as that knuckle eats up a LOT of space.
On the note of R&D experiments, I do remember when I was a kid seeing an odd GM test car with 4WS on TV. It must have been electronic, as they could move them independant of the fronts (as in both straifing, then changing to help turn sharper). In other words, anythings possible when a big car MFG tosses some money at idle engineers.
