4wd on a civic?
i was wondering if any of you had experience with doing a 4wd conversion on a civic a buddy of mine i hoping to put out a good amount of hp with his civic and is wondering how much trouble it would be to do it.. im thinkin we could use a crv trans and rear axles/end to do it. what do you think?

i believe that Honda Tuning is doing one on a Teg one problem you will prolly run iton is clearence maybe manking a new tunnel for the driveshaft to go through and redoing the WHOLE rear end of a CRV driveline VERY VERY VERY weak no **** the CV joints are like 2 inches around very very weak stuff but anything is possible with money.
Would you even be able to run in any street class with a setup like that? they do require stock type driveline for your car and that is not stock type for a civ.

I've read the same article. Their doing it to two Integras. First is a project to make sure everything is matched up right. Then the final will be done on the second chassy they have.
jcarothers : I've heard that the 4WD systems from 80's Civics are interchangeable to 4th Gen Civics. With of course modification.

This has been covered many times.
There was a awd integra, but the tranny was not built to withstand high hp and torque.
If you wanted awd why didn't you get a subaru? Oh yeah, stupid question, v-tech is the ****
