ive been getting this LOUD knocking coming from my engine that just came about last night. not only does it sound like my engine is scraping the ground, it is stalling at red lights. it sounds so bad. i got the compression checked and he said that it is ok, except he said that it sounds like the noise is coming from my 4th cylinder and he would have to take it apart to look at it, getting into more money. he basically told me to get another engine. Anyone have any suggestions?> dont want to replace the motor if i dont need to. should i getta second opinion>?

man pretty sure you got rod knock, if you got a single cam just buy a new one, sounds like you still drove some places after you heard the knocking. you could of torn alot of stuff. anyone else?
