3pt tower bar
There was a topic on here recently were a guy did a DIY 3pt tower bar. I decided to do this as well since I needed a project for my high school metals class. Here's how it turned out.
Materials:
- 8' of 1" square bar
- 1' of 1" angle iron
Basically I just did all the measurements the best I could. I started off with just making the bar that goes from tower to tower. It was pretty simple after that was done. Only tough part was gettin the angles correct.
As you can see I just cleared the strut part

awsome! you should seriously consider selling these!
you could make some extra bucks,
i'm sure there are a bunch of folks that would buy them for a fair price.
i'd say.. charge like $30+materials/shipping for each bar,
so whats that.. like 50bux shipped?
good luuck!

The bar looks good. However I would suggest that you do a little more work on the mounting tab where the bar mounts onto the strut tower. I would recommend using 2 holes for the screws as opposed to one long slot. Also, you might want to consider making the flange/tab thicker.
Just trying to offer a little constructive feedback.

It was originally supposed to be two holes but I came up short where it mounted on the firewall so I had to fix it somehow and that was the easiest way.
