30k mi. service...you paid?!?!
Just trying to compare. What did you pay for a 30,000mi service?
I've been quoted by two dealers within 15mi of each other.
Manly Honda $290
Hansel Honda $400 (WTF!!!!!)
I know, I can do most of the stuff myself. I just wanted to compare. Thanks!

Basicly the 30k is a oil/filter change, drain and fill tranny, brake inspection (measurement percent of pad life) rear brake adjustment, tire rotate, air filter, spark plugs, valve cover gasket, valve adjustment, and in some cases, like the honda dealership I work at involves a fuel injection flush. Thats about it, if you read what the hole deal says, it talks alot about inspect this and that, I guess to make it sound like more

Just do what I do , I usually will do most of the service myself in my own driveway , Change oil Tranny fluid , rotate tires etc etc . Then bring the bitch in and tell them what you did and have those things taken off the service and pay for the stuff you weren't able to do , Saves on the labor (((ugh rates suck))) and it saves on how long your car is in the shop .

at my honda dealer they charge just under $400 too...also includes the coolant change...my other cars go to speedy oil change for they re major tuneups..but u have to pay extra for the inspections..so in the end i feel that the $400 is worth it..i would think that the guys at speedy knew everything about the honda..with the new blower i think its going to cost a little more

I just got mine done on my 2000 civic si. I paid $203 because it can't go on their alignment rack due to lowered and mugen lip. I also bring my own Mobil 1. and rotated and balance my tires recently. So all of that was taken off of the bill. But i think my dealership charges $270.
Oh yeah I also scored some good warranty ****. New Cd Player. And Fixed syncros grinding problem.
Paying $203 felt great after all that

It's up to you. I didn't do mine until 36K miles. And I did it some myself, some done by other shop, such as oil change, etc. The only thing I did at the Honda dealer was Valve Adjustment, which cost about $120.00 in my area.

i'm just gonna do all the visual inspections myself. Clean my airfilter on my CAI.
Have the dealer to:
Valve adjustment
change tranny fluid w/ OE Honda fluid
change oil with Mobil1 that I'll bring in.
advance the timing to 18 degrees (still within specs from what I understand) or do that with a buddy of mine who has a timing gun.
I'm sure there are a few other things i'll have them do.
I'm gonna have my alignment done somewhere else because i'm still research my specs for street/auto-x setup.
