That Motor would suck @ the Quarter Mile...And I HIGHLY Doubt you could get one.
Anyways...Those Motors don't have starters...they are externally fired.
It's not happening...get over it.

oh geez....i was kidding! Anyways an F1 car can do a 1/4 in the 8 to 9 sec range with a trapspeed of 180-190mph which isnt to bad considering its not designed to be a drag car.

Re: 3 Liter V10 (MugenHondaFormula1)
An F1 fan yes I am. I can't wait till the German Grand Prix airs on speedvision. You think the Williams/BMW team will dominate at that track(Hockenheim) with their supposedly superior engine? I heard rumors saying they produce around 860HP. Anybody know what the Honda/Mugen V10 produces?

Re: 3 Liter V10 (CivicV10@18000rpm)
I don't know about the Williams/BMW team...Montoya is a little too crazy and impatient as a driver, but his time will come. I guess with youth comes arrogance and that's what I think is keeping him from being better than he could be.
I thought that Mugen had announced prior to this season that they will no longer participate in F1, competition wise and in terms of helping Honda build parts for their F1 cars?
I have a feeling that Schumacher and Ferrari will be top dog yet again. Makes me think about the late 80's, early 90's when Senna and McLaren/Honda dominated everybody and pretty much won everything. Kind of dissapointed at the showing of BAR and Jordan Honda this F1 season...

Re: 3 Liter V10 (MugenHondaFormula1)
I have heard that Schumacher and Ferrari will be lucky to win at Hochenheim against the more powerful(engine wise) Williams/BMW at the next German Grand Prix. That track is basically a point and squirt layaout.

No it Can't, I'd like some Proof on that...Definately
a 180-190 Trap Speed would be a low 7 second car. There's no way a long *** geared F1 Car is running a 190 Trap...Especially with only ~ 800 Horsepower.
You need around 1500-2000 Horsepower to run a 190 Trap.

First, consider the fact that most F1 teams have more allotted in their yearly budgets than most African and Caribbean nations! I don't know if that's amazing or sad from a sociological perspective. As a result, if Williams wanted to get through the 1/4 mile (very boring racing unless you're John Force or Joe Amato) in the shortest amount of time, they could build "short ***" gears as opposed to "long ***" gears. Also, they would employ launch and traction control to eliminate any wheelspin thus creating a low ET. Finally they would remove any downforce the car creates, hell, they might even remove the wings altogether!

A Formula 1 Car is not running 190 Traps...bottom Line...
Anyways, you guys put all these new variables in (Gearing, If it will Hook, traction Control) Im talking about a F1 Car right off the Road Track. Its not running 190 Traps...

Re: 3 Liter V10 (Suprdave)
OK dork I never gave the exact figure of 190mph. You listening/reading? I said around 180-190. Right off the road/track it will do 9.0's at 181mph the 1/4 which is within 180-190. Oh yeah , it seems your into drag racing why did u get a civic? They suck for drag racing....bottom line. I'm talking about a stock Civic even a 99 US spec SI right from the street. Don't add new variable saying your gonna add a turbo, drag slicks and stuff like that....sucka!

Re: 3 Liter V10 (bommiE)
Back in the 80's when turbos were still legal in the F1 series.....they produced around 1200+hp out of a 1.5 liter in qualifying trim.

"Topfuel drag racing cars have about 4000-5000HP depending on track conditions. Prostock is a lot less."
Your getting into a Losing Streak of being wrong...
Top Fuel does not makes 4-5000 Horsepower...THEY MAKE 7000+
A Good Alcohol Car will make 5000 Horse. Top Fuel makes 7000+ and this is from the mouth of a driver I know with a Top Fuel Boat (Same Motors).
I Win, Again...
