2dr/4dr exhaust onto hatch
I have a 93 hatch and i was wondering if an exhaust from a 92-95 2dr/4dr civic will fit. Well, i know it wont exactly fit, but i just want to know the difference. im assuming the 2/4dr is longer, but where does "the longer" come into play? is the cat in a different area so the pipes before the cat go up farther? does it follow the same bends toward the rear? im sure someone understands what i am asking. long story short, the only reason i ask is because i can get a cheap 3in exhaust for my turbo build, but its coming off a coupe, so i am wondering where the pipes will sort of lay out in contrast to my downpipe and whatnot. im hoping the good thing about the exhaust off of the coupe would be it comes closer to meeting my downpipe, and if anything, i can just cut some off it it is too long. the exhaust will be coming with a test pipe, so its not just a catback. by the way, i plan on welding this thing to my downpipe regardless (just so none of you think im trying to make this bolt up perfectly). any input would be awesome.

Re: 2dr/4dr exhaust onto hatch
ok i have a hatch exhaust on my sedan so i know what you mean. the test pipe will be fine as long as the resonator pipe and also the pipe with the s bend in it. they will all line up with the hangers already under your car. the only thing that's gonna be different is your axleback piece. on my sedan, the hatch exhaust is about 4 or so inches shy of meeting my hangers in the back, and it sort of hits my swaybar. on your hatch your just gonna have to slice a couple inches outta the pipe right before the muffler and weld it up, everywhere else, the lengths are the same
