Actually 205/50-16's will be slightly smaller in overall diameter than the stock tires (185/65-15 or 185/70-14). 215/50-16's will be almost identical in overall diameter to the 185/65-15's (24.464" vs. 24.468") and the 205/50-16's will be closer in diameter to the stock 185/70-14's (24.070 vs. 24.197).
EDIT: The stock tire sizes are from '03 coupes - not positive whether '02's are the same.

yah.. its about a 10mm difference in diameter from my stock wheels (185/65/r15) Just can't decide if I should run 45 or 50.. my car is not lowered right now either but I do plan to lower it later in the future. Help me decide.

I actually had a similar question... I have a 2001 civic coupe and I just got 205/50R15 to put on 2001 Acura Integra GS-R rims that I have on my car and I was wondering if they were too wide and were going to rub? Should I go for a 195 for the front tires, or is it going to work?

Why not have your car look good and lower it first instead of buying big wheels and having it look like a 4x4/crap until you lower it???
I'll never understand spending $1000+ to have your car look awful.
Also, if a 205/50 is too short, why would you still be considering a 205/45???

First, i'm not completely sure if I want to lower it yet. Second, I did not think 16" wheels were all that big to begin w/, since my car comes stock w/ 15" steelies.
Why does everyone assume things. Who said anything about $1,000.00? Why will wheels make my car look awful?
The 45/50 debate. Well it seems like everyone rolls 45 w/ 16" wheels. I did not want that thin of a sidewall but was not sure if 50 tires would be too thick. Which was the main reason for this post. Also, i did not want a prblm w/ my tires if I do decide to lower it later in the future.
