What is it with all the negative responses saying it isn't worth it? IDK bout where you guys are located, but where I am stationed 2000 Si goes for about 12k in decent to good condition, that's not even counting excellent condition.... Besides it is a Honda, and the older body styles are a dieing breed, rebuild it and treat it better than your wife, that is if you're married....

Re: (MiMiK)
i go with the rebuild - if you have the time, patience and $$$
i had 96 lude that i totalled out - smashed the front end really bad - i bought it back with intentions of rebuilding it but never had the cash or time to rebuild it - it sounds like you do.
anyways i'd do it for the experience
before anything i suggest you do a lot of research on the appearence section and figure out what you really want and what type of look your' going for...
once you have it all planned and mapped out then you go straight for part shopping....
think about what type of parts, how much you want to spend, what engine, what's your purpose for the car - you should research EVERYTHING
it's better to plan it out than having to buy things twice because you decided to change your mind.
don't go knock off brand name stuff - buy good products like tein, spoon, recaros, arp, aem, hondata, etc...etc...etc...

PLEASE REBUILD IT, you will learn so much and its a honda, easiest car to work on, i can rebuild a b18 in less time it took me just to change my friends lower intake manifold on his grandprix. as for parts, you should buy a wrecked 99-00 si from a yard (wrecked from behig ofcourse) and put everything in youre car, but rebuild the motor from pistons rigs and gaskets get it all brand new aftermarked off the internet, and do it right not cheap bc in the end its worth it.

Don't dump your money in another civic, just to get it stolen again.
I don't care how much security you have, if people want your ride they will get it.
Sorry, if I'm coming off a bit negative, but be wise about where you put your $, time, and effort.

I know its all been said-
But I'll add my opinion as well.
If you are interested in it as a hobby, then you have a great starting point. Unfortunatly your car was stolen, but if you have gotten over that and have another vehicle- then its nice to have a project to build from the floor up.
With it so stripped you can also work on making the stealthiest security system.
Good luck if you choose to, and let us know how it goes.

Re: (MantiSWhite)
I would rebuild the car and since they did the job of removing interior I would heavily invest in a security system and do a stealth install, backup hidden batteries for alarms, kill switches as well as dummy kill switches. I would shave and tuck your bay. Now is the perfect time. If you still have the Harness on the car you can send it to this guy:

I think he charges 350-450 for a harness. He uses military spec wire. Get the whole car repainted again. Shave the engine bay (Find what engine you are going to put in first and what you want to sacrifice from your bay before shaving it. Check that thread out it may give you inspiration. Have patience, good things come to those who wait.

And BTW if you were planning on keeping this car for a rebuild. I would suggest you holding off on that new Camry and just getting a used honda, not to expensive maybe 3k-4k. It'll give you room to buy what you need. You figure 200+ for monthly payments + insurance cost. You are better off putting that money into your SI.. just my 2 cents.

But it would be fun to rebuild. He doesn't need to have it on the road anytime soon being that he is getting another car. It would be a fun thing to do.
