if your just wanting the pressure switch alone, im sure its available. and not having it i think causes vtec not to work.

and you can buy the little plug from honda for pretty cheap</TD></TR></TABLE>
but we could swear that we feel it kick in at 5200 he even has the vtec controller and it kicks in. the only thing that trips me out is the the whole where the plug should go is covered with a thick plastic could that just be removed....
also what is the purpose of the pressure switch???

The pressure switch isn't used by JDM ECU's. Only we Americans who can't be bothered to check our oil, get the pressure switch as a baby sitter.
I hook mine up when I run a US ECU and don't bother when I use my JDM ECU. The pressure switch is nothing more than an oil pressure sensor set to a higher pressure than the useless* one plugged into the block. It'll prevent vtec when you're low on oil.
*Useless because if you see the oil pressure light on, you've probably already done damage to your motor.
