2000 Honda Civic Spark Plug Problem
What's up guys, I have a 00 civic ex and i was changing the spark plugs when i noticed that one of the cables was popped out, I thought nothing of it until i replaced them and tried to run the car, soon after my car stuttered and wouldn't accelerate, i tried changing the spark plug cables and still the same problem, but now all the spark plug cables are popping out of their housing, why is this happening? Is my distributor bad? or did i screw something up while i was changing the plugs/cables? Please reply, Thanks in advance! I appreciate your guys' input.

Check and double check your firing order and installation. There's only so many things that could go wrong with plug wires lol

Update: just checked the cables and one of them was f'ed up, so i switched it and it they stopped popping out of their housing, now the cars' RPM's fluctuates around 500 up and down when im accelerating faster than 35-40 mph....it will only do it when i'm trying to go faster, once i idle at a constant speed it stops fluctuating.

If the plugwires are popping out, it sounds like you're losing compression into the sparkplug chambers.
I would doublecheck your plugs and make sure they're not crossthreaded and that they're seated properly. My old D series used to do that once in awhile. I've also had O'reilley's sell me both the wrong plugs and the wrong wires before.

Thanks man! that was exactly it, appreciate your help.
I checked the seating of the plug wires and turns out the housing wasnt' even close to the spark plug, i had to "push" it back in for them to make contact.
P.S.
Sorry for the late reply, been real busy lately
Thanks again!
