Default 2000 Honda Civic-resetting the ECM

I was wondering if there is a way you can reset the ECM yourself or do you have to take it to a Honda tech or a dealer to do that?

I'm hoping this will be the fix for my A/C problems. I've had my mechanic and my brother (electrical expert) test the compressor and it works fine. The switch works. He determined that the ECM isn't sending a proper ground signal to the relay. And, an electrical expert at work suggested resetting the ECM as a possible fix. How can I do this?

Disconnect the battery for 30 seconds or so and reconnect.
This will not solve the A/C issue, however. But you should at least try it.
