2000 DI6Y7 TURBO
I have a 2000 civic dx and i bought a g-reddy turbo kit for it, the car is pretty much stock except for an unorthodox undrive pulley, cold air intake, and highflow cat. the kit came with a vortec fmu but will i need to upgrade the injectors anyway?

on low boost you can get away with it... but i'd go ahead and invest in some bigger injectors and a OBD-1 conv so it can be cromed or whatever ..its up to you but people run those kits everyday with stock injectors on a FMU

The stock 240cc Injectors work great, especially with the FMU. I had a friend that used to run 10psi as a DD in his Y7 hatch, and that thing hauled. D series <3 boost, lol

Re: 2000 DI6Y7 TURBO (00D16Y7)
Thanx a lot for the quick responses How much hp can the d16s handle before the engine and or tranny start to fail? i hav a auto tranny and the car onnly has 74,000 on it. One other question how hard is to put the turbo kit in and also keep the a/c. I have heard that it really tight and difficult to keep the a/c, but i heard from other people that it is possible.
THANX AGAIN GUYS

With an auto tranny, I'd recommend that you install an oil cooler. As long as you don't drive like an *** all time, it should hold up for a decent amount of time.

from everything ive heard an automatic tranny from a d16 will rip itself apart once boost. this is what i was told but i was planning on running around 23 psi. people were telling me that the auto tranny wouldnt hold anything over around 170ft/lbs of torque so if you think you are going to have over that you may want to rethink things. i ended up doing a manual conversion again this is just what ive heard from others so i dont know if the tranny will really "die" as they all claimed. just my two cents

23 psi is wayyyyy too much for stock internals, let alone an auto tranny. Your not like running a 2jz or 4g63, lol, its a D16, i woudlnt go higher than 10 PSI max. 6-8 PSI is the recomended setting by most boost know-it-all's

Yeah, the Y7 sports 1**cc's while the Y8 and Z6's sport 240's.
* = I forgot what exactly, think it's 190, but I know it was under 200

yeah, the tranny will get owned. 5/6g civic auto tran's are suckers in both endurance, and putting power to the ground.

No need, your friend was just an idiot and either did one of three things:
A) Put too much tq. through the motor on stock internals (tried turning up the PSI).
B) Boosted a weak ***, falling apart engine
C) Was a moron and didn't tune it right (or at all) ** Most likely **
Don't swap anything out, this guy's friend is just a *******. The stock internals will hold fine, about 200whp on a dyno tune is about where I'd stop trusting them - assuming you're running like a 12.3A/F - run a bit conservative. Maybe 170 if you're doing an estimated hp # based on a street tune.
