Any new updates? Where did you get all the engine work done? (the hot tanking, resurfacing, valve seals, etc, etc)
I'm located up in Edmonton, and I don't know who does this kind of stuff around here.

I finally got some time to proceed....and the last of the parts from Honda needed to finish off the engine!
So here is the 99-00 Civic EM1 drivers engine mount post....needed for any b series swap into a 96-00 Civic...yes, it is different than the one found on an Integra and looks very similar
Here is my last step in buttoning up the bottom end. New oil pump pick up (my other one didn`t look right), and oil pan gasket
If i have time, i will mount the head tomorrow and this thing will look like an engine again

Thanks everyone Got some major progress today with assembly, plus did a quick mock up....not much left to do, hope to say i'm finished this weekend!
Head mounted, along with new timing belt
Oversize throttle body, this one is a 65mm. I didn't want to go to large, as sometimes idle can be funky
How it looks with intake and exhaust manifolds mounted.....

Spent some time working "inside" the car today for a little bit of work. First up, i lucked out at pick n pull the other day and found a 1st gen CRV. These are great, because the interior ventilation air box has an OEM cabin filter setup in it.....so did 1998-2000 models Honda Civic's "with" air conditioning found "outside' of USA and Canada. NOFX did a great write up on this, i'm just adding it in here for those who may not have seen
I spent $3 on the used crv cabin filter and frame, then went to Honda, and picked up on oem cabin filter for any 1997-01 crv
It's just in behind where the glove box is, you can see the little arena that has a handle on it, this cover just pop's off, once you have that steel bar out of the way. I just undid a couple bolts, and had the job done it 10 mins...it just slips in, great upgrade, and clean fresh air inside from now on, if if there is blowing dust outside!!
here's a shot of my 2000 Civic under dash airbox, where it goes
Next, front speaker upgrade

To avoid any increased power transfer issues, i made my way out of town for a few days and pulled out a special clutch i've been hiding....a little bit old school now, as i'm not sure they make this model for B18C's any more. It's a RPS Max Series clutch with a full face disk which is still great for the street

Well done, Well done
You're going to love the JDM ITR motor in it. I have the 98 Spec JDM ITR W/LSD-4.7FD, Stock JDM ITR Header with Full Spoon N1 exhaust and a street tune.. Thing pulls pretty hard and seems effortless even with A/C on!

Thanks all The weather has been really lousy this last 3 weeks, but is getting much better, so i hope to get the time/energy to get the actual swap done very soon now, as the engine is now finished.
Funny thing.....last week, i went out on a random day to the junk yard and wandered around as i some times do. Only to come across a Nissan pickup truck with 3 engines in the back. One was a B16A2, the other was a B18C5, couldn't believe my eyes!!! The B18 has a rod through the block, but i didn't care. I bought the dizzy, vtec solenoid, some other various parts...but the best of the score was the ITR tranny......$100...WOW! and the ITR tranny brace...$10. I mounted the brace. Many people don't know about this ITR part. Check it out....
