2000 Civic SiR EM1 project- Vogue Silver
Every year i pick up a project car, and here is my 09 project car....
It is a Canadian model Civic SiR in vogue silver metallic (same as a US model Si, but has ABS, heated mirrors, and come in this color)
Car has 100K on it and is in decent shape with the exception of it been in a front end accident sometime in the past which helped get me a good deal on the car, as i plan to rip it apart and put it back together as new again...and with a few goodies, enjoy
Here it was a couple weeks back, a little dirty, but before i did anything to

Re: 2000 Civic SiR VSM project
So next, i have the hood, front bumper, and fenders removed and see some wrinkles on where it had been hit before
I also discovered that the front rebar was not mounted up properly to the front bulkhead, so time to rip those off and replace them, and have things aligned properly
Here is how i have it sitting now, front end removed

Car looks familiar. ( I have an 00 VSM SIR)
Just wondering how much did you pay for this SiR with Slight accident damage?

It has no rust!! Paid $4600 for it. I have already sold off the jobber hood that was one it, and bought all new oem parts that include 2 fenders, hood, bumper, right wheelhouse, and full front bulkhead. Good thing i work for a division of Honda and get stuff cheap
I have also sold off the cheezy oem seats in favor of some Integra units. The ricey tails are now gone.
Extra's included a full Compustar alarm/starter, and window tint job which i'm still thinking about, as the front tint will surely get me tickets!

Progress today.....
Got the passenger side wheel house welded in to replace the damaged one. Also sprayed the front bulkhead and got it mounted.
After a good inspection and me being picky, i opted to order up a new front rebar and absorber....they should be in tomorrow.

Re: 2000 Civic SiR VSM project
^^ thanks.....i have a number of things i will be going through on the car in a short period of time, so this will be a cool thread that people won't have to wait forever to see the results.
The body should be finished within a week! After that, stay tuned for:
- replace windshield
- Interior resto, clean up, new seats, cluster, radio, and security enhancements
- tire/wheel swap
- Suspension upgrades
- B18C5 engine swap with some bolt on's that actually work
As far as VSM Si's in Mexico....not sure, no idea?

Today's update:
I got a better picture of the front bulkhead all mounted up, before the rest of the front end started going back together.

The paint will be blended into the doors. Molding, door handles, wipers/cowl, removed before painting

^^ Thanks, it's staying vogue silver, i love that colour. I also like it beacuse it's rare and never came on US model EM1's.

Re: 2000 Civic SiR VSM project
The car is an Alberta car from Edmonton, i checked history. As it shows in the first 3 pics, it didn't have any damage to it when i bought it, only kind of a crappy repair done in the past.
It has no rust!! Paid $4600 for it. I have already sold off the jobber hood that was one it, and bought all new oem parts that include 2 fenders, hood, bumper, right wheelhouse, and full front bulkhead. Good thing i work for a division of Honda and get stuff cheap
