Whats up guys, Ive been trying to fix this problem for a while now, its a b16 obd2.

Sputters low Rpms usally between gear changes. when its starts to sputter i hit the gas and it seems to clear. seams to back fire once in a while.

I had a code p0172 but cleared it but since the problem still occurs the code most likley will show up again.

What ive tried-
plugs,wires,cap,rotor
checked timing
set ignition timing
adjust valves
cleaned IAC
replaced MAP
tested IAT sensor -tested good
tested tps-tested good
fuel pressure good
replaced both o2 sensors
cleaned trottle body
replaced injectors
checked for vacuum leaks- no leaks
i do have exhaust leaks but after the cat


Things im going to do-

im going to replace the fuel fiter, i have a pressure gauge coming out of the filter and the pressure seems good, but i did replace my injectors and the sputting was less so im going to try a new filter and maybe a Fuel pressure regulator.


Being ob2 if i cleared my cat, would i through o2 codes? maybe the cats cloged.

so i replaced the fuel filter and checked the gap on my plugs, drove it and it still sputters and hesitates and the light came back on p0170 system bank 1 rich....I dont know what else to do be sides computer? any suggestions!!!!

 

could be a bad distributor....someone rescently had a simular problems and it was the ignitor in dizzy

 

replace your fuel pump.my buddy had the same problem until the car died going to work one day.

 

fuel pump is next on my list..thanks, ill check into the distrubtor, can you test the ignitor coil and if you can, how?

 

You may want to check the fuel pressure regulator, fuel return pipe, and the EVAP system solenoid valve.

 

ive replaced injectors, pressure regulator, and map sensor...and ive checked for vacuum leaks/evap leaks, but ill look again...thanks
