2000 Civic Coupe/GSR swap Opinions....
Got a 2000 Civic EX coupe, dropped a GSR swap with ITR internals in it cams/valve train/pistons) and it has Skunk 2 manifold, ITR 4-1 header, kteller 2.5" exhaust. Fastest time to date is 14.20 @101 mph in 1/4 mile on radials. That is with a 2.20 60ft time and some pretty good wheels spin. I have been leaving the line at 4500rpm's with launch control and shifting at around 8500rpm. Do you guys think this is good time for full interior coupe? How much more do you think I can get out of it. I just bought slicks but have not ran yet with them. Wondering if 2.20 60ft is good for regular tires. Looking to run 13's, what should I do....

thats a good time in my opinion. if you get in the 13's allmotor thatd be pretty sick man. maybe lighten your car up a bit and put the slicks on thats about all you can do.

Good time IMO. I ran 16.2s with 2.6 60fts in my full interior 2000 B18C coupe, and that was with a B16 tranny... but I suck at driving.
Need to get your 60 foots down.

Yeah I figured someone would say to improve 60 foot times. I think need better radials to do that. I am running on the cheapest Yokohama you can get right now, LoL. Thought about running BFGoodrich g-Force Sport, good summer tire. Although I do have a set of slicks I just bought and have not got to make a full pass on them yet because on the first pass I broke an axle. But I've read I should be able to bring 60ft down to around 1.8 with slicks if I can learn to launch properly. I am hoping though that I can hit a 13.99 with street tires that's my goal so 2 tenth should be in range since the cars been to the track only twice.

get a better header like tri y or rmf narrow replica. and bigger cams like buddy club spec 3+. do both and you'll definetly get into the 13s w/out slicks. if you dont wanna mess with the internals then get the header and a tune.

Thanks for advice guys, any suggestions on launch technique to get better 60ft. I'll look into better header. I've been wanting a dyno tune. I think 13's running my slicks is achievable, only .21 more seconds. I'll keep everyone posted on outcome, I think it'll be raining here on Sunday so no track this weekend.

I race my buddy in his LS turbo hatch from a second gear roll at 4500rpm and he could only pull 1.5 maybe 2 car length at the most he runs high 12's/low 13's. I have stayed close to a lot of mid 13 second cars from a roll. Just gotta get off the line right. I guess practice makes perfect.

Any thoughts on swapping from a GSR trans to a SI trans. I have one in my shop, all it needs is a third gear syncro and I can rebuild it. How much time could I pick up from the better gearing? Also thought about buying lsd and swapping to a 4.78 final drive gear instead of the 4.40 do any of you think this is worth the money??

since you have a poor mans R the trans would probably help since the motor is made to rev high and the trans will let it stay high.
-200 pounds will get you in the 13's
a tune will get you in 13's im sure it has a lot to be made on the dyno.
The MPH is kinda high so that means wheelspin...slicks will REALLY get you in the 13's
12's can be made easily with some upgrades.
