Default 2000 Civic Auto Randomely Won't Start

So I don't have a whole lot of info since I really can't find a pattern. So here goes.

When I say randomly I mean about 30% of the time the car won't start at the first try. However after about 30 min of trying to get it to start it will magically turn over. Usually this includes waiting 20 min of that time.

Most of the time when the car doesn't start the wheel locks along with the auto-shifter. I usually can't get it out of park unless I on-lock it with the key in the center shifter panel.

I used to just start the car in neutral and that seemed to work for a while but now I don't know if that is really helping. I only seems to do this on return trips however I've been at work for 8 hours and then It won't start. But if it is sitting over night I haven't experienced the problem.

Anything I should start looking for ?

The car has 235,000 miles. Thanks !
