205/50/15 is great for grip, but if you have ruts in your roads, you'll feel pulled around when decelerating. 195/50/15 is ideal for comfort.

The stock size that comes from the factory is a 195/55R15. Most people switch to a 205/50R15. (overall diameter is close to stock so speedometer will not be affected and the tire is a little wider for better traction.) It also depends on the offset of the wheel.
If your car is slammed, you my encounter a little rubbing. My car is lowered 2 inches and I run a 15in wheel with a +35 offset with a 205/50R15 and rub when I make a sharp turn.
If you go with a 16in wheel, I would go with a 205/45R16 (overal diameter is close to stock).
If your car is slammed, and you go with a 16in wheel, I would go a little smaller with a 205/40R16 (overall diameter is shorter than stock and MAY NOT rub, but it depends on the offset of the wheel also.)
I am not saying I know everything, but I have more than 6 years experience working at Les Schwab Tires. I am sure there are plenty of people on this board that may have more experience than me, just ask around. I am just trying to help out.

yep...but i prefer 205/50/15's...they are prefect for 15inch tires...as for your 16inch rims go with nothing more or less than 205/40/16's...best size there is...

so it will change the speedo by .8% which is nothing. the tach could be off by that much. so im going kuhmo spt 205 45 16 because my drop will never be slammed. the eibach prokit isnt low low.
