Do you think you can be a bit more specific?

Like it doesn't have the power it should in 1st or 2nd? Or is it bogging down, or what?

Did you do a tun-up (plugs, wires, cap, and rotor)?

Im not saying that its not the dizzy, but to say that honda distributers are shitty i would say that is way off. Mine works just fine and im running with a turbo. I would check the dizzy. and does it happen when your starting out from a stop or does it happen when your downshifting?

You can probably find a used one for $100. If you go to Advance Auto or Autozone or something it's going to be closer to $200 + core.

However, your problem is most likely just the ignition coil, not the whole distributor. I'd check it before you drop a bill or two on something you don't need.
