1999 ex w/ rear disk brakes?
Does the factory 1999 Honda Civic EX coupe come with rear disk brakes? I looked under the civic trim differences and searched but found nothing. Any info will help. Thanks.

To kepe anyone from getting confused, the EJ8 (USA = EX, Canada = Si) and the EM1 (USA = Si, Canada = SiR) are different models. The EM1 is the one that comes with rear disk brakes.
Both the EJ8 and the EM1 are available in other countries too.

why a 99-00 civic si?
any 92-01 integra and 92-00 civic w/rear disc would be a good donor.

integra rear disks would be a fine doner, just the e brake cables are a little long, they would have be tucked. si is best choice...

say who? they are the exact cable. well atleast they are the exact cable for 92-00 civics and 94-01 integras. the 2nd gen integras are alittle different. other than the 2nd gen integras they are the same. you gotta love honda!

Really? You mean they came like that from the factory? 96-00 LX and EX?
That's weird, then why do a bunch of 96-00 EX Civic owners buy rear disc brakes from me?

But not for 96-00 Civics, the EM1 cables are a perfect fit on the EK's.

You're thinking 92-95 Civics.

They have different front calipers IIRC, but the rear brakes are still drums.

The USDM '99-'00 Civic Si DID NOT have ABS. Not even as an option.

Yeah but the OP is from the US, don't confuse him. Besides Canada doesn't count.

It's not that Canada doesn't count, but when we're talking about cars that are available in several different countries, we should mention which market we mean if there is or might be a change.
While all EM1s are '99-'00 Civic coupes with B16As (or B16A2s), the different options from there can be different.
