1999 Civic Si/Ex coupe - No fuel to rail issue
Hey guys, I just finished putting a fresher D16y8 into my 1999 civic si (USDM's Ex for you americans out there). Same motor that came out, went back in, so their isn't any new/missing plugs that I'm aware of at this point. I finally filled my fluids and was about to fire it up when it just keeps rolling over, won't actually fire. I cracked the screw on the fuel rail open, and I'm getting nothing. Second attempt I paid attention to the fuel pump (by ear) when I turned the ignition on, and it didn't fire up. I find this bizarre considering I drove my car onto the dolley with the mangled motor right before the swap, so Fuel pump/relay shouldn't be bad. All fuses are in tact. I just don't know where to begin in diagnosing this problem. I'm not the guy to go buy a fuel pump and relay and start there.
As far as I'm concerned (please correct me if i'm wrong) but it seems to me like a possible ground, misplugged sensor, or even a dead/broken wire? and if so, where could I begin my hunt for these lil f**kers, thanks guys
