Was it built in late 1998 and actually designated as a 1999? then.yes: (wikipedia): "The Si trim (Canadian SiR trim) used the DOHC 16v B16A2 engine with VTEC. It produced 160 hp (119 kW) at 7,600 RPM, 111 lb⋅ft (150 N⋅m) of torque at 7,000 RPM, with a compression ratio of 10.2:1. Fuel injection was multi-point."

OP, there was no Si available in the US in 1998. So, where are you located ??? Some pictures and the first six digits of your VIN number would be helpful.
