Default 1998 Honda Civic DX Hatchback

I don't really know anything about cars in general and but some of the basics. I want more power for my Civic, but not sure how. All thats in the car is a air intake. My uncle told me to get a throttle body and that would make a difference (would it?), the car has around 200k miles on it. Later down the road I would also like to do a turbo build, but I'm not even sure the car can handle it. If you guys can help a newbie out that be great!

Here's the link of the throttle body I was thinking of getting: https://www.ebay.com/itm/VMS-BILLET-THROTTLE-BODY-74MM-74-MM-HONDA-CIVIC-SI-CRX-INTEGRA-GSR-DIRECT-FIT-/310597888123?fits=Year%3A1998%7CMake%3AHonda%7CMod el%3ACivic%7CTrim%3ADX%20Hatchback%203-Door%7CEngine%3A1.6L%201590CC%2097Cu.%20In.%20l4%2 0GAS%20SOHC%20Naturally%20Aspirated%7CSubmodel%3AD X%7CEngine%20-%20Liter_Display%3A1.6L

If you have a stock DX engine, you cannot replace the throttle body because of the vertical type that your intake manifold uses. Even if you could... it wouldn't make a positive improvement.

Ok, Thanks for telling me do you know what kind of engine swap I could do that would be good? Or should I just go with a turbo? And do you have any recommendations for a turbo? If you can link one, that would be nice but you dont have too.

I think the GSR (B18C1) engine swap is the best bang for the buck... but it all comes down to your budget. GoAutowerks has quality affordable turbo kits for both "B" and "D" series engines...
