Default 1998 civic hub bore size. +10 offset question

hey all, are 1998 civic hub bore size 56.1? Reason why i'm asking is because the bore size for the rims i'm gunna buy are 57.1 which is a minimal difference would I need lug nut rings or w.e they're called to fill in the excess space?

also for a +10 offset would i need any spacers to install these rims properly? thanks

they are called hub rings.

and whether you need them or not depends on one thing.

is your rim a lug centric, or hub centric design?

if its lug centric then you do not need the hub ring

if its hub centric, then you do need the ring.

i have not yet seen a hub centric 4x100 civic wheel yet.

thanks for the quick reply man, i needed it! i'll look into it if these are hub or lug centric. is there a reason why i wouldn't need hub rings even if they were lug centric rims?

because on lug centric rims the rim actually rides on the lugs (thats why they have a conical shape where they meet the rim ( to center it )

+10 are going to stick out way more than stock so no you shouldn't need a spacer. the wheels probably wont fit well with that low of offset. there are tons of threads on this topic

i've seen these rims on 6th gen civics before. but i'm worried about rubbing of the fender. i have a subtle drop. i still have about half an inch worth of wheel gap. i'm going with low pro tires tho when i do buy these rims. what would i need to make sure they fit flush?

what is the width of the wheel? most likely you will need to roll/pull fenders, run negative camber, run a small tire. i would recommend using a high offset wheel like +40 or +35. not worth the hassle IMO.

just search "offset" in the wheel and tire forum, you will find plenty of info
