1998 civic ex died
Driving down the freeway, it started to rattle and get very bumpy when I gave it any gas. Fuel pump and filter are working, just discovered that a plug was disconnected from the distributor (dont know if it happened when it died or when I disconnected the fuel filter). I connected the plug, but it still didnt start. Wont start at all. Doesnt even sputter. Any idea on what it could be, and possible solutions (other than a mechanic)?

could be many things first i would check spark . distributor can go very easy . take my 93 civic cx i got a 99 si motor swap 1 night i parked it was fine next day went out wouldnt start i tried everything then i took a spare distributor i have put it on started right away

UPDATE - Talked to a mechanic, said its probably either the distributor or the coil. Can somene tell me how to get to the coil, and does anyone know where i can get a distributor for cheap?
