1997 civic radio and 2000 radio the same?
i see a cd player that came from a 2000 and want to put it in the dash below where the cassette was. will it fit for my 97?

It's not plug and play, but you could make it work.
The radio harness is different between 96-98 and 99-00 though. You'd need something like this.
Also the accessory connector (if you have a slave tape deck or CD player/changer connected) is different between the 96-98 and 99-00s as well. I believe that the wire protocol is the same (Alpine MBus)-- this is the pinout for the 96-98s, no idea what the 99-00s have.
