Default 1996-up Aftermarket Steering Wheel Help

Sup,

I did a search and cant find the answer I'm looking for but heres my problem.......Ive got a 96 coupe that was in an accident and the airbags are blown....rather than buy new airbags, I want to just get a new steering wheel and make a cover for the pass side or maybe buy the tray thingie from JDMHONDAPARTS.....but anyway i got a cheap Grant steering wheel but nobody sells an installation kit for it, since its illegal or whatever to not put an airbag back in.......but also after taking off the stock steering wheel there still leaves an SRS thing that has two prongs that stick out preventing a flush steering wheel install......i know there are people out there with aftermarket steering wheels on their 96-newer civics......so my question is what installation kit do I need to buy?.....and how do you get around the prongs that are sticking out?.......thanks in advance

Ditch the Grant and get a MOMO wheel and hub. $150 tops. You need to remove all the SRS stuff, likethe spool, for the hub to fit correctly.

Takes 15 minutes to install.

The steering wheel was free so i was just trying to put it to some use.........I'd rather put that money into motor parts....but i've seen others with Grant steering wheels and would like to try and figure how to install this one, before i went out and bought a Momo.....but maybe i'll have to follow your instructions and ditch it, thanks.
