Ok so when I started dating my wife she had a 1996 Honda Civic 4dr Lx auto it had a d16y8 full leather interior power everything nice sound system from factory even has a sunroof and I thought this was odd for an Lx so I did some looking up the title says Lx I look up the vin it says Lx and I'm still confused why it's like this if you guys have any input on the car I'd like to hear it we still have it its at 109k on the odometer no rust I've put off posting this forever now so lmk what you guys think

Her dad bought it this way he's never had the motor swapped

Wild speculation on my part - It's a VIN typo (EJ8 to EJ6), so her dad paid for an LX but received an EX. Have you spoken to your father in law?
