1996 Civic SI speedo problem
I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has seen problem.
I have a 1996 Civic SI with 156000 km (i live in Canada), recently the speedo has stopped working correctly, this is what happens....
i'll be driving, the speedo is working (counting KM's, and speed), all of a sudden the speedo needle moves down to between 20 and 30 km/h and stays there, and it does not count km's. the RPM gauge still works fine.
When i roll to a stop, right before the car finally stops the needle "jiggles up and down" and then stops between 20 and 30 km/h. and sometimes it will start working again.
i've tried to remove the gauge cluster to verify if anything is wrong but i think it could be electrical, because it's so inconsistent..
does anyone the cure to this? i'd rather do it myself then taking it to the dealer.
cheers from Canada.
